Health & Wellness Marketing in San Jose
A San Jose patient can choose a County hospital, Kaiser Permanente or one of thousands of private offices across Santa Clara County, and many will read about their options in Vietnamese, Spanish or Chinese before English. We help clinics, dental practices, therapists, med spas and wellness studios get found by nearby patients, explain treatments in plain words and answer every booking request, without letting protected health details slip into advertising tools.
Who patients see here
Public hospitals at the core
Santa Clara Valley Healthcare, the second-largest County-owned health system in California, runs four acute care hospitals: Valley Medical Center, O'Connor Hospital and Regional Medical Center in San Jose, plus St. Louise in Gilroy. Valley Medical's Level I trauma center handled 5,196 cases in 2024, more than any other in the state, and the County reopened Regional's Level II trauma service in East San Jose when it took over the 258-bed hospital on April 1, 2025.
A deep bench of private offices
County Business Patterns for 2023 list 1,548 dentists' offices, 1,139 physicians' offices and 247 therapy and audiology practices in Santa Clara County, and 668 of those dental offices had under five employees. Inside San Jose's city limits, health care and social assistance firms booked $7.24 billion in receipts in 2022 (Economic Census), a big market split among many independent providers.
Coverage and language questions
About 40 percent of the county's Medi-Cal enrollees live within five miles of Regional Medical Center, County officials reported in 2025, and residents of the surrounding neighborhoods are nearly twice as likely to lack insurance as the county overall. Citywide, 5.4 percent of people under 65 were uninsured. A practice site that names the plans it accepts and the languages its staff speak answers the first two questions many San Jose patients ask.
Why San Jose patients choose elsewhere
Vague insurance information
When a site says it takes most major plans instead of naming Medi-Cal, Medicare and specific commercial plans, patients call the competitor whose page answers outright.
Pages in one language only
A family that reads Vietnamese first may skip an English-only site entirely. Translated service pages and intake instructions widen the pool without extra ad spending.
Slow replies to booking requests
A request that sits overnight often becomes an appointment somewhere else. Instant confirmations and same-day callbacks keep new patients from drifting away.

Questions and answers
Yes, by being precise where big systems stay broad. A neighborhood practice can show short waits, name the clinicians patients will see, list accepted plans and languages, and appear in searches for its exact services near Willow Glen or Evergreen. Large systems rarely tailor pages to one district, which leaves room for independents.
Often, yes. The city has roughly 97,000 residents who speak Vietnamese at home, about 60,000 of whom report limited English, along with some 205,000 Spanish speakers. If your staff can care for those patients in their language, ads and pages written for them reach people many competitors overlook.
Not casually. California's Confidentiality of Medical Information Act says providers may not use medical information for marketing unless the patient expressly authorizes it, and a list of a clinic's patients can itself reveal health information. Talk to counsel before uploading any patient data, and build audiences from location and interest targeting instead.
