Aerospace Marketing in Greensboro

Greensboro's aerospace work centers on the Piedmont Triad International Airport campus, where Honda Aircraft designs and builds the HondaJet, HAECO maintains airliners, Boom Supersonic finished its Overture factory building in 2024 and JetZero broke ground on an airliner plant in June 2026. We market suppliers, maintenance shops, training providers and service firms that want to sell into that cluster, using websites written for engineers and auditors, outreach on LinkedIn and search to specific companies on the airport campus, and CRM stages built for slow supplier approvals.

Greensboro context

Who builds and maintains aircraft at PTI

Honda Aircraft's home campus

Honda Aircraft Company says it employs nearly 1,000 associates on a 133-acre campus at the airport, where it designs, engineers and builds the HondaJet and from which it has delivered more than 275 jets worldwide. It is developing the larger, 11-occupant HondaJet Echelon, which Honda says will be produced in North Carolina alongside the Elite II.

Maintenance now, factories coming

HAECO began at PTI as TIMCO and was acquired in 2014; the airport authority says it has more than 1,600 employees across Greensboro and an airframe operation in Lake City, Florida, and maintains more than 300 aircraft a year. Boom completed its Overture Superfactory building at PTI in June 2024. JetZero broke ground on June 15, 2026 on an 8 million square foot campus for its Z4 and says jobs will be added in stages as the plant comes online.

Training and the county's aviation base

The airport authority describes PTI as part of a 4,000-acre campus, and right beside the airfield GTCC runs three aviation buildings, including a hangar tied to the airport's movement area and four full-motion flight simulators used by local industry. Guilford County had 21 establishments in support activities for air transportation, with 1,455 employees, and four aerospace product and parts plants with 772 in 2023.

Selling into the PTI cluster

01

Qualification takes time

Getting onto an aircraft builder's or maintenance operator's approved list rarely happens quickly, so a Greensboro supplier needs to stay visible and credible from the first plant tour to the first purchase order.

02

Capabilities stated precisely

Quality system registrations, special processes, inspection equipment, materials and open capacity, listed specifically on the site, give engineers and auditors what they check first.

03

Projects at different stages

Honda and HAECO operate today, Boom's building is complete and JetZero is under construction. Separate outreach for each, matched to where it stands, avoids pitching services a project cannot use yet.

Areas we serve

Aerospace outreach can cover companies and skilled workers around PTI and in these Triad communities:

  • Winston-Salem
  • High Point
  • Burlington
  • Kernersville
  • Jamestown
  • Summerfield

Questions and answers

Boom completed construction of its Overture Superfactory at PTI in June 2024 and said it would next set up the production floor and tooling. Its 2025 and 2026 news has centered on its Symphony engine and a turbine factory in Centennial, Colorado, so suppliers should confirm Boom's current Greensboro plans directly before targeting the plant.

JetZero has not published a supplier timeline that we found. It broke ground on June 15, 2026, said construction would start right away, and describes hiring as phased in over roughly ten years. Suppliers can prepare now with a clear capability website and a contact path for procurement teams.

Expect formal qualification and patience. Start with a website that states your certifications, materials, tolerances and inspection equipment, then use LinkedIn to reach the sourcing and quality people at each company, and follow up steadily over months rather than weeks.
