Aerospace Marketing in Savannah
Savannah is an aerospace town. Gulfstream has called it home since 1967, the 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade at Hunter Army Airfield flies Apache, Black Hawk and Chinook helicopters, and more than 30 aerospace-related companies work around them. We market aerospace suppliers, maintenance and repair shops, and aviation training and service firms through websites that hold up to an auditor's eye, LinkedIn outreach aimed at named accounts, organized follow-up after air shows and trade events, and CRM pipelines built for long qualification cycles.
Savannah's aerospace cluster
The Gulfstream campus
Gulfstream's Savannah campus holds its worldwide headquarters, a research and development campus opened in 2006, precision manufacturing and completion facilities, a design showroom and its largest service center, plus a technical training center. In 2023 it opened a precision manufacturing facility in Savannah for the G400, G500 and G600. County Business Patterns counted four aircraft manufacturing establishments in Chatham County in 2023, employing 9,107 people.
Suppliers and specialists nearby
SEDA's list of the metro's 30-plus aerospace-related companies runs from Collins Aerospace, Honeywell and Rolls-Royce North America to local shops such as G-Force Manufacturing and JenJacs, plus pilot training by FlightSafety and CAE. Citing 2024 BLS data, SEDA says Savannah has close to seven times the national average of aerospace mechanics. Boeing in Charleston is within 100 miles, and Embraer in Jacksonville about 140.
Military aviation at Hunter
Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah is home to the 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, which the Army says is adding drones alongside its helicopters; in 2025 its innovation center printed more than 90 unique drone components in hours with a mobile 3D-printing cell. The installation describes Hunter as able to land the largest military aircraft and deploy troops and equipment on an 18-hour timeline.

Long qualification cycles
Becoming an approved supplier can take months or years. Marketing has to keep your company visible and credible to engineers and buyers throughout, not just at the first contact.
Proof over adjectives
Aerospace buyers look for quality certifications, process capabilities, inspection equipment and traceability. Specific, verifiable details on the site carry far more weight than claims of excellence.
Talent is part of the pitch
Savannah Technical College runs a 30,000-square-foot aviation training center with a hangar, and Embry-Riddle has a Pooler campus. Showing a stable, skilled team reassures buyers about capacity.

Questions and answers
Make it easy for their engineers and buyers to qualify you. A website that states certifications, processes, equipment and capacity plainly, LinkedIn ads aimed at the right job functions at target companies, and prompt follow-up on every inquiry keep you on the approved-supplier shortlist. Large manufacturers rarely respond to general advertising.
Indirectly. SEDA's aerospace list includes firms performing aircraft maintenance on Hunter, but defense work flows through federal procurement rules and prime contractors. Marketing for that market focuses on registrations, capability statements and relationships with primes rather than public advertising.
SEDA reports close to seven times the national average of aerospace mechanics in the area, and training runs through Savannah Technical College's aviation center, Embry-Riddle's Pooler campus and Georgia Southern's engineering programs. Recruiting still takes effort, so a strong careers page matters.
